Mar The Maid


This morning, my maid burnt another tudung of mine - the second one to be exact.....uuwaaaaa. The first tudung is that China Silk tudung I bought in Ampang Park. The best part is I havent even worn it yet. Minang....minang....sabau je lah...

I think I wanna write something here about this maid of mine. Her full name is Gusnimar. A divorcee of two. She's so-so lah as a maid. Nak kata rajin tu tak lah sangat but can be trusted la which is more important I supposed. It's not easy to find a perfect maid though - as long I could leave her at home with my daughter withou having any doubts / worries - it's good enuff for me.

Mar originated from Padang, Sumatera Barat. She's a minang. Being a minang, she always wanna win ( a typical Minang as claimed by my half-Minang Abang). Everytime we talked about something, she always wanna win in which I've always let her la - malas nak layan. Another thing, almost all songs sung by our local artist she claims that those songs are originally the Indonesian songs. Tak larat betul minang sorang ni !

Her hobby would be watching TV & singing. Suka bebenor minang ni nengok TV sebenarnya. maybe becoz she's bored la i guess - the whole day staying home with not so much work to be done. Another thing she likes to do is telling me stories of her ex. From the stories she told me, looks like she adores her ex so much. It's just that she cant acccept the fact of poligamy. How sad.....

Overall, Mar is quite ok actually. She's a good cook, by the way. When I first knew that she's a Minang I was so excited coz Nasi Minang has always been my favourite. That means I can have my favourite food every day larr......saper tak suka kan? Anyway, I'm glad she's there with us. The more the merrier. God bless her....and us too !

Double Standard


I was so shocked when I saw the front page of The Star today. It's a news about the Olympic Opening Ceremony in Beijing. The girl who sang during the grand opening ceremony was actually miming and only put on stage because the real singer was considered not cute enuff. Can you believe that?? Such a double standard, isnt it?

The cute girl, Lin Miaoke was using Yang Peiyi's voice that night. The reason was for the national interest. The child on camera should be flawless in image, internal feelings, and expression. Lin Miaoke is excellent in those aspects. But in the aspect of voice, Yang Peiyi is flawless. If I'm Yang Peiyi's parents, I would not allow my daughter's voice to be used - never. This is really cruel. How can a 7 year old girl not cute? All children are cute in their own special way. Yang Peiyi has a beautiful voice & it's only fair she would be under the limelight not the other girl.

Anyway, this has always been tha case. Those with good looks always get a better opportunity... be it in career, relationship, showbiz.....practically everything. Those who are the not-so-cute ones have to really struggle to excel. Life is unfair......it never did. Morale of the story is ....good future lies on a beautiful face.

Just Another Boring Monday


It's Monday again....urgghhhh. Hate Monday - I'm sure everybody else too. Today, I've decided to make my blog public. It could be fun sharing it with all my frens, I supposed. Just an update of what's happening around me especially to those frens of mine in Kuantan. Anyway, to do so, I need to re-adjust a few postings from this blog. I need to remove some of my personal postings out.....bahayaaaa! So, I end up spending my boring Monday morning refurbishing my blog. Well, at least I did something useful, if it's not for the company, it's useful enuff for the community, isnt it? Or should i say it....doing some community work. That definately sounds much better !

Anyway, got a new job today. Since I'm quite free, Zhopa ask me to lend a helping hand to Carol. I've been given one of Carol's project to handle that is the Su Tu Den Northeast Development Project. I'm cool with it. Anyway there are only 19 valves in it. I intent to start reviewing it this afternoon...ermmm...like now. Oopppssss !!

Before I forget, Pell gimme a call this morning - asking me to watch the Video he just uploaded in YouTube. The video is for their re-union dinner last saturday - Hells Engine Forever. He's quite cool in those videos - singing & dancing. Cool enuff for a 47 year old guy. Well done bro !

Nasi Dagang - My First Encounter


Been wanting to cook Nasi Dagang for quite a while - it's just that I dont have the confident to cook the rice. The rice need to be steamed rather than cooking it as the normal rice. Well that seems to be the scary part.

After asking my maid not to fast today (she've been fasting the whole week last week - trying to loose some weight), I open up my recipe book & start preparing the ingredients for my Nasi Dagang. I started cooking the garvy first which consist of Ikan Tongkol (that were cooked one nite earlier), special Nasi Dagang spices (which I bought in Terengganu a few months ago), coconut milk, chillies etc. Done with the gravy, came the scary part which is the rice itself. Well, I'm happily announcing it here that I passed with flying colours. I did well with the rice...thank you God !

I'm so glad I finally manage to cook the Nasi Dagang on my own. Seen mum cooked it but never actually tried it myself. Everybody enjoyed my Nasi Dagang including my dear Princess. She's always been my strong supporter in whatever I do. Thanks dear ! Love you so much !

False Alarm


Marsya had to go to school today - for the Hari Raya replacement leave. She's told my earlier that she wanted to stay back till 2.30 pm today as she've made a plan with her frens, Adlina & Aiman to play basketbal at school. Since it's gonna be at her scholl, so I said yes to her request.

Since I'm done with cooking early, I thought I might go & check Marsya out at school. Maybe took some pictures of her playing the basketball with her frens. Got there at her school by 1.30 pm. I'm quite suprised with the school environment that very day - it was so quiet & empty. I couldnt find any sight of students there at the school. I've started getting worried already then...well, who wouldnt?

I started looking for Marsya then....trying very hard not to be panic. I prcatically search the whole school areas - the basketball court, the school field, canteen, her classroom.... everyweher. Still no sign of her. By this time, my panic level has well risen up. I quickly grab my phone & started scrolling for Kak Nan's (Adlina's mum) number. Apparently, she too didnt know anything about it. All she knew, Adlina told her that she had a J-Qaf class today until 2.30 pm. I'm sure Adlina has lied to her mum coz I I know Marsya wouldnt do that. Notty...notty....

As soon as Kak Nan arrived at the school, we start to put our heads together trying to figure out where these 2 girls might be. Then Adlina's dad suggested that we should check Fatihah's house (another good friend of them) since she stayed just across the school. I voluntered to go there since I've been to her house before. Grab my scoot & rushed to Fatihah's place. unfortunately, she's not there too. Gosh...where are you Marsya? You are making mummy worried here , dear....

As I got back to the school, I saw Marsya running towards me, coming from the hostel behind the school. So, she was there all along - with Adlina. Apparently, Aiman's dad is the hostel's warden & it was his idea that the girls should stay there while waiting for us to fetch them back. I was so relieved the moment I saw her....syukur alhamdulillah.

Adlina's parent was so angry at her for lying to them. Well, she shouldnt have done that in the first place, anyway. Poor girl. As for me, since Marsya is telling me truth, I am not that angry la. I'm just worried...that's all. I'm so grateful it all end up fine. I dont know what i'm gonna do if something bad happen to her.

Pissed !!!


Today is definately the worst Friday I've ever had. I've always looked forward to Fridays but not today's. First thing in the morning, I apologize to Carol for my bad behaviour yesterday. I know I dont deserve her forgiveness but still, I have to apologize right? Otherwise I'll be feeling very bad all day long....especially with her, only her sitting beside me.

This is all because of Abang. As what I posted earlier, I was so heartbroken with him yesterday. Felt so miserable & clogged up. Then, came Tucker with his usual not-so-funny remarks. I dont know why but it just went straight to my antenna.......zapppp it goes. I really lost control of myself yesterday - something that has never happened for quite some time. I raised my voice, uncontrollable to him. Word after word......blurting it out right to his face. Carol tried to chill me off but ending up she too, got it from me.

Oh dear ! Felt terrible after that. Lose my head for a second there....which shouldnt have happened. It could be avoided if I want to but.......well, no point crying over spilled milk. Gotta get hold of myself next time before I got myself stucked in another madness.

Bloody Sickening !!


Felt so heartbroken today. Sakit sangat hati ! Guys just couldnt use their brains sometimes...... or maybe they dont even have any. That's more logical - they just dont have any brains ! It's either filled with air or just vacuum. Otherwise they wont be doing all those stupid things guys normally do, right !

Just one short sms.....not two...not three.....just one. And even that he cant simply do. When I called, he didnt answer. He told me earlier, that he would call me once he's done with his work. There I am waiting for his call the whole fucking day - like a fool. Well, he can always send me sms telling me that he's stucked with something right? He could have done that but he choose not to. Simply because he's so tensed & depressed.......and I'm supposed to understand his situation. So, what about mine then?

See, this is the problem with guys. They just cant think with the upper head. I am sure the world would be a better world to live in if only these creatures start using the right head to think !

My Favourite Pic.

Today at the office, everybody are busy filling in the Leadership Profile Form as today is the last day of submission. Biasalah.....dah nak terberak, baru lah sibuk nak cari toilet. Anyway, that's not the point of me writing this post. It is so co-incidently that I brought my new Canon IXUS 860 IS camera to work today. So everybody wants their photo to be taken since we have to paste our photos in that form too.

Since I've always liked to be photographed, also menyelit-nyelit lah. So I've asked Carol to snap a photo of me using the Colour Assist feature, which allows you choose only one colour to be visible while the rest are in black n white...cool huh ! That's why I love my Canon IXUS 860 IS camera!

So, this is the photo which I've asked Carol to take using that particular feature. Anyway, she had to snap at least 5 - 6 shots before getting this best shot.....it's not my mistake though. I always look pretty.....it must be Carol's skill then. Hehehehe......

Shopping Again......

It's such a boringgggg day for me today. Abang is fully occupied for the whole day :( aahhh...tention. Did nothing much this morning. Been sleeping most of the time. I would then wake up for 10 - 15 mins & dozed off again. Then wake up..sleep...awake...sleep.... This been going on from morning till the evening, till I got really tired of sleeping already.

In order not to fell asleep again, I decided to go out - took some fresh air. Took my scooter & head off to Ampang Point. I am very much aware of the danger that awaits me there but I just cant keep my butt in the house anymore. Apparently a visit to a shopping mall never fails to excite me.

So, there I am in Ampang Point, desperately trying to escape from my boredness. The first place I stopped at is Guardian - since it's at the ground floor. As usual, eveytime I go to any pharmacies, the cosmetic section has always been sum kindof a magnet to me. I heard about Maybelline's Concealer Stick which is supposed to be good....so, I better check it out then. Fortunately, the colour that I need has run out of stock. Phew....that was so close.....

From Guardian, I proceeded to the 1st floor. Stopped by at Reject Shop. Still, my money stays where they are supposed to be since i dont find anything interesting there. Another great escape for me. From the 1st floor I proceeded to the next floor. Since I've been looking for a pair o brown shoe for quite some time, I think it's best to stop by at Bata then. Well, looks like no brown shoe there could really caught my attention.

Unfortunately...other shoes did. I saw this one pair of silverish cool looking sandal. Ok...let me think for a while. I have a gold coloured sandal.....but silver? Hhhmmm....silver suits most of my outfits more than gold, right? I've found myself a good reason to buy that sandal then. Later, I saw this black shiny handbag on the shelf. Been looking for a weekend / shopping handbag for so long. This could be it then. Morever, the bag is on 50% discounts....definately a good buy. So, I walked out from Bata store, with 2 shopping bags in my hand, feeling happy & satisfied. Both the handbag & sandal cost me RM 160 ( 60 bucks for the sandal & 100 for the handbag ) - not that bad after all since I havent shop anything yet for this month. I have to reward myself with something every end of the month for working so very hard, righttttt ?????

PC Fair 2008

Didn't actually knew about this PC Fair, not until Carol told me so this morning. She said since I'm currently looking for a camera, i should check it out for the best deal. So, we went there during lunch time - surveying lah. There are lots of stuffs there anyway.... cameras included. Have an eye on this Canon IXUS 860 IS digital camera. According to Carol, she've heard a lot of good reviews about this particular model. I dun really know about all these camera stuffs but this particular camera do look good - very sleek & trendy.

So later that day, i went back to KL Convention Centre to check the camera out. Head straight to the Canon booth, excitedly. After briefly looking thru the camera, without no hesitation I purchase the camera. Felt so great about it. Cant wait to go home to start playing with my new toy.

Anyway, being a compulsive shopper like me, i just cant stop myself from buying other things besides the camera alone. Got myself a laptop bag ..... yes, another one. This is the 4th laptop bag i've owned. I had one backpack, 2 simple ladies executive kindof bags & this new one.....how should i describe it/ It's just a simple plain bag - much smaller than the other 3 bags. That's it - to justify my shopping....this is the simple laptop bag for day to day usage, which i dun actually have yet. See....not that I'm spending my money unnecessarily - there must be a good reason for doing so.....

Speaking of being a compulsive shopper, I was so close to buy a Lexmark printer just because it's cheap. It is a printer cum copier cum scanner cum fax. See...it is a good deal, isnt it? Anyway, I'm glad I manage to escape this time. Otherwise, there goes my RM 175.00. Phewww......another close encounter!
