Thank You Astro !

Astro Malaysia was recently voted as the Most Popular Brand at the Putra Brand Awards 2012. And as a gesture of thanks and appreciation, Astro is broadcasting 130 channels free for all subscribers - for a week, starting from 27th April till 6th May 2012 !

Thank you Astro - though the vote didnt come from me( and honestly, I dont even know the existence of that Putra Brand Awards).

Like they said, good opportunity like this only comes once and that we shouldnt let it passed without grabbing it. Since my parents were in town on the 27th till the 29th, I cant do much on those days to really appreciate the "gift" I got from Astro.

Starting from the 30th morning till the next 1st May morning, there I was lying on my sofa watching as many movies as these eyes could take it. By the end of the day, I managed to make a marathon of 5 movies whcih is my very own personal record.

As I told Marsya, never before in my 42 years of age, I've watched that much of movies in a day. By the time I am done with the fifth movies, I feel like throwing up - seriously. It was an absolutely a movie over-dose for me.....buwekkkkk !!!

These were the movies that I watched :
a)   Just Go With It   :  A story about friends turned into lovers - sweet story, I must say
b)  The Last Three Days  :  Suspense to the core till I feel my heart like bursting out !
c)   Narnia 3  :  Too fairy tale-ish for me - dozed off a couple of time through out the movie
d)   No Strings Attached  :  Yucks ! stupid...stupid....stooooopid story !
e)   Killer  :  So-so lahhh.....

One thing I realized after watching two Ashton Kutcher's movies back to back is that - he's really a hawt, hawt hottie ! Look, I dont really watch TV, ok....so how would I know this Kutcher boy is actually that hot? He's so tall & has the sweetest smile ever <3 <3 <3  .

Now I understand why Demi has to go under the knife to be with him.......poor Demi !!

KL Gangster - The Review

My first 2 attempts to watch this movie were a failure as the tickets are all sold out. It was originally Marsya's request to watch this movie as she's a big fan of Syamsul Yusof who is the director cum actor for the said movie. The ticket sales (RM 1.5 mil on it's first day of showing & RM 6 mil, four days later) & recommendation from friends makes me more determined to watch it.

Our third attempt finally clinched the deal & Marsya was the happiest soul for the day. She almost cried when we couldnt get the tickets earlier. She was so into Syamsul that I could almost see the sparkles in her eyes when we walked into the theater that day.

So, what's the verdict ?

My Likes :

1.   My number one will of course goes to Malek (Aaron Aziz), the big taiko. Not only he's super gorgeous, he's also like the super gangster among others - the strongest of them all ...hero mah ! But honestly, I really think he's not fit for that Malek character. Aaron doesnt have the features & aura to be such an influenced gangster like Malek. He's just too cute to be a gangster - unlike Adi Putra & Syamsul.

"cuti gua sudah lama abis.."

2.  Abang Long Dil (Zizan) - he's one funny character who managed to burst out laughs among the audiences. His character reminded me of Chris Tucker in the Rush Hour movie. His jokes are non-slapstick & genuinely funny. People could straight away laughed the moment his face appears on the screen without him having to say a single word yet.

" ko tau kan...lawan aku bukan 2 org tapi 2 lori... "

3.  Ajib (Sofy Jikan) - he's the best gangster, I would say. His acting as Dragon's right hand man was superbly awesome. The way he uttered his dialog with the Chinese accent was really amusing ( "lu kalau gua potong lu 18 baru lu tau erti penyesalan"). Thumbs up to Sofy Jikan - great acting skills ! Wa manyak suker sama lu bro !

"gua bleh simpan gua punye senggggaaatttt... gua pon sudah pennnattt.... "

4.  The shirtless Jai (Adi Putra)....do I need to say more?

" lain kali jangan buat lagi tau...nanti mak marah "

5.  The fighting scene featured in this movie is somewhat realistic as compared to other local action movies I've watched before. Their moves were swift enough that they looked quite real. When a punch landed on a face, you could actually feel the pain from your end.

My Dislikes

1.  Shark ( Syamsul Yusof ) - though his acting this time was better (meaning that not too much of "control macho-ness" ), I still couldnt grasp the idea of his Chinese accent. Him speaking with a Chinese slang makes me wonder of Shark's actual race. Other character like Ajib for instant, does speak in a Chinese accent too but the way Syamsul did it is so un-natural.  It either he's trying too hard or he's simply over-doing it.

" sekarang gua tak kira...lu abg long ka..lu ayahanda ka...ini KL gua pegang ! "

2.  I dont like the idea of Jai putting an unlit cigarette between his lips while talking. It's ok if he appears that way in one scene but I find it a bit annoying when the same act was shown everytime he appeared on the screen. I'm quite sure he would still looked vulgar & dangerous without the cigarette. My two cents !

3.  They makes it so easy for Shark to kill King. C'mon, this is THE King mah - the Godfather of the gangsterism community. It doesnt really makes sense such a powerful man like King could be so easily pinned down by a young inexperienced chap like Shark. But then, he's the director....I shall rest my case !

All & all, I really enjoyed this movie. Though I am not a fan of an action genre movies, but KL Gangster managed to entertain me &, got my butt glued to the seat the whole duration of 80 minutes - unlike certain movies which makes me wanna leave the cinema even before it ended ( Lagenda Budak Setan is the best example for this - sucks big time ! ).

Kudos to the young director, Syamsul Yusof for making such a great movie (in accordance to the Malaysian standard, ok). To those who havent watch this movie, hurry up & grab yourself a seat at the nearest theater. Those who are never interested in watching Malay movies in cinemas, try out KL Gangster - you wont regret it.....it's worth every cents !

One thing both me & Marsya noticed while walking out from the cinema was how strong the movie influenced the audience that the guys started walking like gangsters LOL !

p/s   Am considering to re-watch the movie.....didnt get enuff of those hot hunks !!

Mr. Asshole Meets Ms. Slut

Remember the entry I wrote about the crush I had on Mr Big (from Sex & The City) ? Well FYI, that feeling just got crushed last weekend. It was really bad not a single tiny-miny love molecules left for him. Vanished. All gone !

Since my 320 Gb external HDD has reached its limit recently, it's about time to start watching if not all, at least some of those TV series & movies I've actively downloaded for the past few months. I need to make some room for other new movies as well - not forgetting the TV series too. Anyway, worse comes to worst, I'll buy another HDD then - and this time I'll definitely go for the Terrabyte sized HDD and whistle all the way down the Torrent lane.

As planned, I managed to finish the Sex & The City TV series marathon over the weekend - the whole of Season 3 that is. It's in this 3rd season I've discovered these 3 important things : Mr Big is an asshole, Carrie Bradshaw's a slut & I am an idiot (who could actually fell for a prick like Big !).

I know I always rode on the last train as far as movies are concerned.......let alone the TV series. And I also know that by now, three quarter of the world's population already knew what happen between Carrie & Big but still, I need to tell the story here just to let the world knows how stupid I was before.

In this season 3, the slutty Carrie can actually had an affair with the bastard Big who's only been married for a few months. I just cant stop cursing both of them while watching it. It was like, damn, shit, fuck.....all the way. I really hate myself for liking Mr. Big at one point of my life. He's nothing more than a stinky rotten rubbish & the same goes to that whore writer girlfriend of him !

Both of these creatures (Big & Carrie) had a good partner in their life & instead of being grateful with all the blessings, they backstabbed them by screwing each other behind their back. And this slutty Carrie would then feel very bad & guilty every time they did it but would still sleep with him over & over again. Damn stupid isn't it?

I love watching SATC coz the writing / scripts are crisp & funny. But this Carrie-Big affair has indeed becomes very detrimental to the love & interest I had for this series. And now it leaves me with no choice but to watch it while at the same time swallowing a big chunk of hatred towards that two desperados. I could feel the sudden warmth rushing to my face (due to the anger & hate) the moment these two people appeared on the screen. In fact, seeing Chris Noth's name appeared during the first few seconds of the intro montage, has actually resented me watching it. If it's not because of Samantha Jones ( Kim Catrall), I dont think I would still continued watching it.

Anyway, the 3rd season of SATC seems to be that last piece of the missing puzzle I had in my head all these whiles. It all now make sense as to how the haggard-looking Carrie Bradshaw could end up marrying Mr. Big.

Simple - a slut is only good for an asshole !

Let's Talk Eclipse

Watched this long awaited movie last Friday with Lin & sisters. Been wanting to write the review since Saturday but then I was really occupied the whole weekend, accompanying my BFF from Kuantan. Tried to blog in the office earlier but my eyes couldnt compromise - they are hardly open through out the evening. I was so sleepy the whole day - not that I watched the World Cup's final but the truth is my too tired with all those activities I had over the weekend wif that fren of mine. Anyway, here goes my review for Eclipse....

The Story

To those who havent read the book, Eclipse is the continuation of the love triangle between Vampy Edward, mortal Bella and the hideous werewolf Jacob (who's obviously running out shirt since he runs around half-naked through out most of the movie, even when there was no need for him to do so). Besides the love triangle or should I say, Bella's stupid indecisiveness, this movie focused on the battle between the newborn vampires, recruited by Bella's long time enemy, Victoria with the alliance of Cullen's family & the howling pack - in order to protect Bella & the rest of the Fork's residence.

Did I Love It?

Of course I love it! What do you mean "did I love it?" Though Lin feels that Eclipse didnt gave the same impact to her as compared to New Moon, to me it's still a great movie. It's difficult for me not to be biased with the Twilight Saga movies - I love Twilight.....I love New Moon.....I love Eclipse & I am very, very sure I'll love Breaking Dawn too since that's my favourite ones beside Twilight. How can a Twilighter like me not like any of these movies? Those who love the series will love it, while those who loathe the series will loathe it. Simples.

My Likes

1. The tent scene is by far, my favourite though I hated it because I felt really bad for Edward. But then in this scene, it really showed how matured & kind-hearted Edward is - especially as compared to that selfish, immature wolf. This scene was far than perfect. It matched how I've pictured it in my mind when I read the book.

2. The proposal scene was so sweet. It was just beautiful and so sensual. I could actually felt the love from the way Edward looked at her. I wished Bella would cried when Edward "rejects" her, (like she did in the book) but I can live without it. Especially since we get to hear "I promise to love you every day of forever." *sigh*

3. The "passing off" scene between Edward and Jacob was pretty entertaining. She goes from one hot kiss from Edward, to a half-naked Jacob who wraps her in his warm arms. The look on Edwards face was hilarious. I really enjoyed the love triangle scenes.

4. Those 2 particular scenes with Jasper & Alice in it - the training scene and the one right after Jasper's flashbacks scene as Alice tells Jasper he kept her waiting and Jasper replied “sorry to have kept you waiting, ma'am” and then the little kiss. They were so cute together in this movie. Everbody kept going awww at their moments.

5. The bad vampy, Riley - acted by Xavier Samuel. He's so damn gorgeous. Me & Lin kept on drooling over him every time he appeared on the screen. Both of us agreed that he suited the Edward Cullen's character much better than that skinny Rob Pattinson. I could still remembered my disappointment when I first saw Rob being Edward in Twilight. He's nothing like Stephenie Meyer described him in her book.

5. The perfections of the wolves. The CGI on the wolves is excellently done. Every scene with the wolves is perfect. They looks real & awesome.

My Dislikes

1. The death of the vampires - it doesnt looked real at all! It almost looked like ice being ripped apart especially with that ice-breaking sound effect. When Edward kills Victoria (everyone cheered in the theater, by the way) it looked a little silly, to me. They've made Victoria's head looked like a mannequin instead.

2. The newborn fight with the Cullens. The fight scenes were great and full with action but they were too quick to really appreciate them.

3. Jacob & Bella's kiss. This part of the story made me want to throw the book across the room the first time I read it. I hate Bella for hurting Edward's feeling by kissing that emotional immature wolf. I mean, how can you love 2 different man at the same time? Stupid!

4. Jacob being topless most of the time - put the T-shirt on for goodness sake ! If the female werewolf could put on her shirt through out the movie, why cant the boys too? Duhhhhhh........

Cool Lines

1. Edward's to Bella (referring to Jacob), "Doesnt he own a shirt?" during the "passing-off" scene.

2. Charlie's to Bella, "Virgin, I am starting to like Edward more." Hilarious.

3. Jacob's to Edward during the tent scene, "Let's face it, I am hotter than you...". Poor Edward.....he should have answered, "You maybe hotter, but at least I'm harder!" Wakawaka....

Writing these reviews makes me wanna watch the movie again and most probably I would.....

Lagenda Budak Setan - The Review

The last Malay movie I watched at a cinema was Kabir Bhatia's Cinta. Kabir Bhatia being the director is the only factor that brought me to the theater. I liked the way he make his movies. He had this magical touch which has brought the notch up for Malay movies. Kabir Bhatia had indeed created a paradigm shift in the local movie industries.

Last weekend, I was doing a favour to a friend of mine by accompanying him to watch this movie called Lagenda Budak Setan. It was an adaptation of the 1980s best selling novel (by the same title) by Ahadiat Akashah. Heard of the novel before but never actually had any intention to read it.

So, here's what I'd comment about the movie :

The Story : Revolves around Kasyah who is nicknamed Budak Setan at his college due to his naughtiness. Everything changed when he fell in love with Ayu. Kasyah then loses her to Azmi, her ex-lover, when she is forced to marry him. This leaves Kasyah feeling betrayed and heartbroken. Ayu then meets with a bad accident that completely changed her life.

What I Hated : Poor storyline. No character development. The way the movie was made as though the director are rushing to include all the important plots from the 900 pages novel into a 90 minutes movie. The transition from one plot to another was very badly done. It's like watching a Powerpoint slides presentation rather than a real movie.

As for the cast, honestly I never did like Farid Kamil. I think he is generally too "jambu" to becomes a hero. He might be other girls fave ( and one of them is unfortunately my friend ) but never mine. This statement somehow ruled out any comments from me on his acting skills, right? As for the newcomer, Shiqin Kamal who played the character, Emilia - she still have a lot to learn. Her acting is quite stiff still & her facial expressions didnt somehow hit the spot.

What I liked : There are 3 things I liked about the movie - not bad of a number for a movie I didnt enjoy watching, huh? The first thing I like about the movie is the soundtrack. Really love the song "Bila Cinta" which was played w few times throughout the movie - yet still sounds fresh every time and compliments the emotional scenes well.

The second thing I like about the movie was Que Haidar's acting. He played his character very well. Kudos to him for his outstanding performance.

Finally, it was Fazura's beauty that captured my heart. She appeared only after two third of the movie & if it's not because of her, I would have walked out of the cinema already. I really liked Fazura - I think she's just so naturally pretty. I was continuously oohhhhh-ing & aahhhh-ing every time the camera focused on her face. Amazingly beautiful. Well, what can I say....... another Pahang's beauty besides CT Nurhaliza & me !

All & all, there's only 1 word to describe this movie - horrendous or in Malay, we say it as "hampeh". I was non-stoppingly criticizing the movie from the very start till the end of it. When people laughed, it confused me coz I just didnt get it. Not that I'm lacking any sense of humour here but then, how am I supposed to laugh when it's not even funny?

I am a very romantic & soft hearted person. I could cry over anything. Just the other day I was watching Friends on the episode where Rachel gave birth - and I cried though it's the 100th time I've watched it. This movie is supposed to be a tear-jerking love story but couldnt shed a single tear out of me.

Hence, the verdict - dont waste your money. Just wait for another few months & I'm sure they'll show it in Astro Box Office. Otherwise, just do like I did - just download it !

My Edward Is Back

Oh yessss......the Cullens are back & most importantly, my Edward is back to haunt my life with those romantic words that would definitely left me sleepless. Edward Cullen is indeed the most romantic & perfect guy on earth - if only he could really exist. And if only he's real, I'll be the first one to offer my neck to be bitten by him...... bite me....bite me !

As it is, I am obsessively in love with him along with millions other girls out there in the planet. It is so impossible not to fall in love with this particular vegetarian vampire. He is such a gentleman & he didnt go berserk knowing that his stupid girlfriend had a feeling towards another guy. And he didnt even make her choose between him & the other guy ! Now tell me which guy would ever do such a thing? He's a guy who could show you rainbows on rainy days......huhuhu. He is such a perfect boyfriend any girls would die for !

Eclipse will be showing in cinemas starting from 8th July. Am counting days for that day where I'll be re-united with my darling Edward again. However, there's one scene I hope they would not include in this movie - the part where Bella kissed Jacob. Hated it so much ! But frankly, I doubt they would exclude that particular part in the movie. I'm sure I'll be cursing her like nobody's business when that scene comes through !

Speaking of Eclipse, there are a few quotes (coming from edward, of course) which I really like & am really hoping it would be part of the movie's script :

The outside world holds no interest for me without you. Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 2, p.49

I’ll be back so soon you won’t have time to miss me. Look after my heart — I’ve left it with you.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 4, p.95

You are the only one who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours. Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.195

All of my best nights have happened since I met you.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 23, p.511

Alice In Wonderland

As promised, I took Marsya to watch this movie yesterday evening. She actually wanted me to take her for the 3D show but regretfully, I've to say no. 3D movie is something I cant tolerate. Not me actually, it's my eyes or rather my kampung head. The images that keep on popping out from the screen is something I just couldnt handle. It leaves me with a very uneasy feelings. I'll be very uncomfortable & feeling very disturbed watching a 3D movies. In fact there's one time I cant even see the 3D effect which left me feeling very disappointed (of course, after paying extra for it). The verdict then, is a no-no for 3D. Call me kampung or ulu if you want but watching movie is supposed to be something fun and 3D movies are obviously defying that purpose for me.

Alice In Wonderland is overall an okay movie - for an adult like me. The children would definitely love it. It was a very lovely movie - wonderfully imaginative, I would say. Everything in the movie is beautiful - even the horrid big headed Red Queen still looks pleasant. It's like watching a cartoon with humans in it. The movie is filled with lots and lots of beautifully colourful things & backgrounds. Otherwise, they wouldnt have called it "Wonderland", isnt it?

At the beginning of the story, I was a bit confused seeing Alice so grown up. The Alice that I've read is a lot more younger than the one in the movie. Only after an hour watching it I understand what's going on - why is Alice no longer a small girl she used to be as in the story book. Anyway, I really hate spoilers, hence I better stop blabbering out the whole story.

Johnny Depp is as cute as he is in Edward Scissorhands or Willy Wonka in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. This time in this movie, he is called Hatter. I cant think of any other actor that would do the job better than him. Not only he's cute, he is perhaps one of the most versatile actors around.

Going to the movie is indeed a great family activity. To all parents out there, take the opportunity of this school holiday to bring your kids to watch this movie. I'm sure both you & your kids are gonna love it !

Sleepless In Seattle

When I fall in love
It will be forever
Or I'll never fall in love

In a restless world
Like this is
Love is ended before it's begun
And too many
Moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun

When I give my heart
I give it completely
Or I'll never give my heart

And the moment
I can feel that you feel that way too

Is when I fall in love with you

It took me 17 years to watch this movie & frankly, it's far than worth it. I am so loving this movie. The sweetest love story ever. So, so sweet & very, very funny too. One minute I'll be laughing out loud & the other minute I'll be weeping. Cant blame me......I'm a Piscean & being one, having a soft heart is my weakness.

There are so many things I love about this movie apart from its storyline. Anyway, I'm just gona list a few things I've learned after watching this movie - something to ponder :

1. It rains for 9 months in a year in Seattle. Didnt know that until I've watched this movie. I've got to learn Geography too......how nice !

2. Follow your heart even though it might seems crazy. Annie flew all the way from Baltimore to Seattle just becoz her heart tells her so. It's crazy, yes but it's all worth it.

3. Dont watch too many movies, love story in particular, after you've engaged. It can sometimes play your minds around leaving you feeling very lost & confused........hehehe. Just a friendly warning anyway. Those with a strong heart need not to worry though.

4. Love will always find its way through, even when you think it's impossible. That's the power of love. If the person's yours, nothing could stop it from happening.

5. Apart from being powerful, love is also supposed to be magical. You're supposed to feel the magic which tells you that it's him, your soul-mate. Dunno about you guys, but I've never really felt that magic yet - which explains why I am still alone.....huhuhu.

And another thing, I've just discovered that the Bollywood movie, Mann ( which Aamir Khan & Manisha Koirala acted in it) was actually an exact copy of a classic Hollywood movie called An Affair To Remember. So typical of a hindi movies but at least not those films my Shah Rukh was starring.....hehehe.

Anyway, An Affair To Remember is one movie I've gotta watch. It seems that 2 million copies of this movie have been sold after the release of Sleepless In Seattle !

Sex AndThe City

It is 11.30 pm now which is way past my bedtime especially when it’s schooling day for Marsya tomorrow. I’m so darn screwed. This is all bcoz of this Sex & The City movie I watched earlier.

I’ve so many feelings mixed up in me that I cant make myself sleep. It’s this love-hate feeling that is alternately invading my head one after another. Clearly, I’ve make a big mistake by watching it tonight – should have waited till tomorrow morning ~sigh ~. What’s done is done…..the milk has been spilled. No point crying gal !

Being a romantic person I am ( auuwwww!!!), I’ve always love sweet love story like this one. Honestly, I’ve never watched Sex & The City the series – simply bcoz I didnt subscribe HBO. One thing about romantic love story, they are most of the times too fairy tale-ish. Everything seems to be too perfect & unrealistic. For a moment you are in la la land & as soon as you realized it, you’ll just fall down to reality….swooshhhhh & ouchhhh, it hurts like hell. And how do you expect me to sleep then?

Okay, I’m not gonna give a review on how the storyline goes or how it ended. In fact, I’m just gonna list down the things that I love & hate about this movie which makes me write this entry at this very wee hours.

The LOVE :

image

Chris Noth…..he’s so hotty hot! I cud have multiple orgasm just by looking him smile. Him being Mr Big is like the perfect 10 – not enuff he’s gorgeous, he’s damn rich too! He’s the man of every woman’s dream.

image

Carrie’s walk-in closet, which is just a few inches smaller than my living….huhuhu.

image

The proposal in the closet……it was so sweet I almost cried !

image

The closeness between the four friends. It reminds me of my good frens & makes me appreciate their friendship even more. Thanks gals !

The HATE :

image
Sarah Jessica Parker – how old is this woman actually? She looked so haggard especially during the 1st half of the movie. I repeatedly told Marsya that I looked much, much better than her & obviously Marsya agrees to it.

image
The outfit Carrie wore at the beginning of the movie – the one with the huge flower above the chest. To be honest, it’s not huge…. it’s bigger than huge !

image
When both Carrie & John finally get married….. tak aci !!!! It’s too perfect of a world to them…hate it…hate it….hate it!

Watching this movie, all I can say is that love & friendship are the two most important things in life. You have to have at least one of them or life would be very meaningless. And to those who have both, treasure it for you are the luckiest human being on earth ! ( how I’d wish I am that person ~ big sigh ~ )

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

For what it’s worth, it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. See the things that startle you. Feel the things you never felt before. Meet people with a different point of view. Live a life you’ve proud of. If you find that you’re not, have the strength to start all over again.

The above are excerpted from this brilliant & remarkable movie. The last time I've ever felt this satisfied over a movie was about 15 years ago after finished watching Forrest Gump. I can feel the same sense of satisfaction all over me after watching it. It makes me smile thinking back how beautiful the movie was constructed. There are a lot of lessons we can learn from this film. Brad Pitt's excellent acting & the award winning visual effects has indeed made this film an astounding & extraordianry film one could ever remembered.

All that said, there is no way to deny that this film is indeed very beautiful. It reminded us all the meaning of life & as Button soberly reminds us, nothing lasts. It's gonna be one of those films I imagine I would revisit & keep on watching without getting myself bored. It's a 2 1/2 hours long but amazingly it seems to be the shortest movie I've ever seen.

City of Angels

Yup...another movie it is. I had a movie marathon during this long weekend since there are at least 20 movies awaiting for me for the past 6 months or so. One thing with me is that I cant really sit in front of the TV for hours like some people do. The most would be 3 hours - more than that I would start having this uncomfortable feeling slowly building up in my system. I suddenly feeling fatigue la.....headache la ..... this la.....that la.... and 1001 other reasons that prohibited me from continue watching. That's why TV is never in my favourite list.

This week, I'm trying to go against all odds. Trying to finish as much movies as I could. So far, success is nothing near.....hehehehe. After watching one movie, there's always something that came across my mind that strayed me away from the TV set - it's either I'm feeling hungry, sleepy or as simple as browsing for new recipes. My best achievement so far is 2 movies in a day - one in the morning & another at night of which I'm quite proud of.

This morning I was watching this old movie titled City of Angels. I know....I'm way behind time. So behind coz it is a 1998 movie - 11 years ago & only now I gotta watch it. One thing I like about this movie is it's soundtracks. They are all so good & my fave would be Angel & Iris. Angel is for it's soothing melody & Iris for it's beautiful lyrics.

I dont think I need to tell what's the story all about coz I might be the only living thing on the globe who had just watched it this morning. All & all, it was a pleasant movie to watch. Illogical but rather sweet. I cried though - not the part when Maggie died but the part when she had to break the news of the death of her patient to his family. It was quite tragic, I would say.

As for Nicholas Cage being the Angel, I dont think they did a good casting by selecting him. I cant see the peacefulness & calmness in his eyes ( that's how I supposed an angel eyes should be ). He failed to project the serene aura around him. One thing for sure is that, he's one depressed angel. I dunno but I might be biased here since I dun really fancy this guy.

Anyway, I still enjoyed the movie. A light romantic movie like this one could never bored me. This movie somehow reminded me of another one acted by Meg Ryan too - Sleepless in Seattle which I havent watched it too...... I know....I know..... you can call me outdated. Should check out on that one too !

Just wanna quote my fave line for this movie : I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss of her mouth, one touch of her hand than an eternity without it.

Uwaaaaa........so romantic one !!!!!
