Appreciating Money

Been quite busy for the past few days. Busy is always good as it makes our mind working. As the saying goes......an idle mind is the devil's workshop. And the devil is no other that Mr. Alzheimer. So, at least I've got one thing I dont need to worry about for this particular point of time.

After my participation in the flea market 2 weeks ago, I've been quite keen to get involved in this business industry. I've never been a business minded person all my life. None of my family members are ever involved in business. We're the group of people who only knows how to spend money rather than earning them. I've always been very skeptical when it comes to business though 9 out of 10 fortunes are originated from business ( as quoted by the prophet Muhammad SAW).

My involvement in the last flea market had however changed my perception towards business. Some of my friends gave a cynical remarks knowing what I did at the flea market. They couldnt understand why I did it. Obviously I'm not doing it for the money. It's something I did out of boredom & surprisingly I enjoyed it very much.

One thing I noticed is the blessing that comes along with it. Not only I earned some extra money, it has also makes me appreciate money much, much more. It has been a well known fact that shopping and me is very synonym. Most of the time I spent my money unwisely - buying out of desire rather than needs.

Well, things has now changed to the better. I've becoming more wiser & careful in spending my money. I noticed that I dont have the same urge anymore every time I visited the shopping centers. The other day I was with my BFF at one of this shop where they sell bags & purses. I have quite a good reason to get myself a new purse since my existing ones is rather worn-out already. However, without difficulties I managed to say no to the salesgirl although that's the same exact purse I've been looking for the past couple of months & on top of that it's only 20 bucks ! Knowing the real me, for that kindof price I would never think twice. Ain was very surprise to see that new me and honestly, I think I deserve a pat on my shoulder that day.

Money is not easy. I'm lucky enuff it aint that hard for me to earn money. But that is certainly not a good reason for me to spend money unnecessarily. I guess I've learned my lesson well now that I've appreciate money more. Money is good for nothing unless we know the value of it by experience.

Helpless

Have you ever felt so helpless that it totally drained your whole system out? You wished you could do something to make things better but nothing appears to be helpful. You'll be searching frantically for the way out, panting and gasping for some air that suddenly seems to be thinning. What's left is you being helpless & incapacitated.

That's exactly how I felt right now. I felt so suffocated with the situation I'm facing right now. How I'd wished I could share it here but by doing so somebody might get hurt. And worse still, it's gonna be like a chain reaction where one thing will lead to another & ending up damaging more souls. The chest pain that I had since morning gets worse as if it could explode any minute by now.

If anyone of you thought this is about a man, well you are so very wrong. In fact, it's about a woman. A woman who has disappoint me big time. A woman who destroyed all the trust I once had over her. A woman whom I thought I could rely on but she had proven me wrong. A woman so wicked I wished I could just blow her head off ! Arrggghhhhhhh......I'm quite sure my chest gonna explode soon!

All I can say here is that whenever you've been given a responsibility, please do your utmost to carry it out - especially when it involves innocent lives. As a norm, people would always expect the return from what they've invested. The expectation is even greater when you are being paid a hefty sum of money. Have some sense & if not much, a bit of sympathy & consideration, if you please. Please dont take things for granted. Just becoz I've never open my mouth to complaint, it doesnt mean you could step on my head! When people treated you kindly, return their kindness with your sincerity. Never take advantage out of people's desperation.

Life is like a wheel. Today you might be on top of the wheel but someday you too will be down there at the bottom. Karma would definitely finds it's way to get even with you. Nobody will be spared - if it's not in this life, you will eventually get it in the after life. Just remember that!

Life Is Too Short

Life Is Too Short To Waste Time Hating People

  • Never be awful to anyone, that person you were awful to may teach you the most.

  • Always remember...you are a somebody, God didn't take the time to create a nobody.

  • Always smile, you never know whose day you might be making.

  • Never 'forget' to say hi to anyone, never miss the chance to laugh or smile, never get too caught up in yourself that you forget to help others.

  • Never forget that you aren't the only one with problems, and most of all...never forget that when you feel like you only have one friend, that friend will remind you of all the others.

  • If you forget about all the bad things in life, the good will take over.

  • If fear is staring you in the face, close your eyes so you don't have to look at it.

  • Be yourself, you can't be anyone else...the best you can be is you!

I found the above in my inbox while cleaning up my old emails. Sometimes we need to motivate ourselves by reading these kindof nice motivational quotes. Not everybody have the luxury to have their own personal psychologist like me....hehehehe ( Carol, that's you & thanks a lot for injecting all those positivity in me all these whiles).

With this entry, I hope someone would find some of comfort or hope in themselves. Always make a point to laugh & smile and never let anyone knows whether you're having a bad day or not. Then maybe everyone will feel better by seeing someone who can have a positive attitude in life.

I'm Thrilled

The title says it all. I AM thrilled. Nope it's not because I'm getting a handsome bonus. Neither am I getting any fat increment whatsoever. I'm thrilled due to the number of hit I've received for my blog yesterday. It's something I've never expect. Didnt see it coming at all - at least not for the next 5 years or so.

As of 10.00 pm yesterday, my reader's counter showed an outstanding figure of 357 (305 locals & 52 overseas). I did noticed that for the past couple of weeks, there has been quite an increase to the number of readers. I used to get between 25 - 30 max a day but these numbers has been extensively increased to 70 - 80 readers a day. This alone has made me one happy blogger already. Let alone 357 !

Yesterdays rating was a history to Red Scoot On The Move (I'm quite certain it's due to that Brainless Mutants entry posted) Three hundred fifty seven.....three hundred fifty seven.....these numbers keep on playing in my head as they are such a disbelieve for me. For a cikai blogger like me this is indeed an achievement to be proud of - provided that the statistics provided by Widgeo is accurate. But then, watta heck ! I'm just gonna assume the numbers are accurate & savour the moments....... hehehehe.

So to my readers out there, what more can I say but million & million of thanks for making up my day. It's an indeed the best new year gift I've ever got. Thank you so, so very much !

Cooling Down

After reading my latest entry about those brainless mutants, my BFF highlighted to me that I've been having lots of negative vibes around me this whole week. Cant blame her for saying that since all four entries I've posted so far are so full of hate & rage. Well, what can I say - they keep on hitting on me that I just cant close one eye & let it go without ranting about it here.

Anyway to balance the situation, I'm gonna write something pleasant this time. Something to put off the flame that has been burning in me these few days. With the age catching up very fast on me, I might end up having a high blood pressure should I decided to prolong the hatred in my system.

In my pursuit to good health, I tag along with Carol to Pavillion during lunch time. Neither me nor her got any specific reason of going there. We just need the walk & refresh our minds a little. But then since we're already there, we thought of checking out the bags that have been bugging our head since we laid our eyes on them.

Matches my attire perfectly or shud I say, it enhanced my look

Okay, mine would be that striking yellow Carlo Rino hobo bag ( definition, as in Wikipedia : Hobo bag is style of handbag that is typically large and characterized by a crescent shape, a slouchy posture and a long strap designed to wear over the shoulder. Hobo bags are made out of soft, flexible materials and tend to slump, or slouch, when set down ). Been eying on it for at least 2 months or so. What's been holding me up then? What else if it's not the price la.......a bit too pricey for me.....huhuhu.

Carol's was that black & white striped Sachs handbag. At least hers is not as expensive as mine ( me & my forever expensive taste.....duhhhhhh ). It was RM100 cheaper than mine. I would have taken it already if I were her.......hehehe.

You can never go wrong with black & white

Whenever we're at Parkson Pavilion, without fail we'll be checking out these 2 favourite bags of ours. Surprisingly after a few months they are still there......or could it be a message from God that they are meant to be ours? Jeng...jeng...jeng....

Yeah...yeah....stop dreamin' ! I dont think it's justified enuff to allow ourselves to burn a hole in our pockets. By the way, since both of us had quite a good shopping spree in 2009, we're trying to cut it out this year. I know it's hard but it's surely worth a try, isnt it? It's now the 6th day of 2010 & I'm proud to announce that I havent shop a single thing yet. It may be too early to celebrate but I still count is as an achievement (for I am one chronic shopaholic). You go girl !

The Brainless Mutants

When a man becomes worse than animal, what do we call them? Calling them an animal would be an absolute under-statement. Somehow or rather, men have eventually mutated into a monstrous creature nobody would expect. Therefore no special category or name could well fit their characters & behaviour these days.

And why am I saying this? Well, I wont if I dont have the proof. Datuk Muhamad Mustafa Idrus is the living proof to these mutants - among many of them which is rapidly increasing in our society globally. However there's a hick-up during the mutation process that their brains didnt actually developed. Oppsss sorry, wrong vocab used - "developed" would mean part of it would still be there right?

In the case of these mutants, the brains are not even there. How sad isnt it ? What is even sadder is that they feed on woman's blood & tears.
I'm sure by now most of you have read the news about Mastura Bakar who is currently trying to get her marriage annulled by the Syariah Court. Reason being, she was married to a mutant of which I would like to nominate as the King of all mutants ( for now till another outstanding mutants transpired ).

A 24-year-old woman who’s been married for just three years has claimed that her husband slept with more than 10 other women during that period .

Mastura Bakar told the Lower Syariah Court that her husband, Datuk Muhamad Mustafa Idrus, 54, who was once married to singer Noraniza Idris, was never fair in polygamy and was a philanderer {no wonder Noraniza kept the identity of her husband as a secret - she must have been too ashamed to be married to this animal}.

“He is never fair (in his polygamous marriages) and had affairs with more than 10 women at hotels {with already 4 wives in hand, he could still swing his cock around...bravo!} . “I know him and I’ve contacted all the women that he slept with,” she told the Federal Territory Lower Syariah Court here yesterday.

Mastura also claimed that her husband, who is the Tasek Gelugor Umno committee member {helloo....and you can call yourself a leader, puhhhleaseee!} , often forced himself on her. She also claimed to have been beaten, slapped and kicked up to eight times when Muhamad Mustafa faced problems or when asked about his relationships with other women {why not picked up somebody your own size, coward!} .

Muhamad Mustafa allegedly broke things when he found out that Mastura ran away from home and knocked her over with a car once { Havent I make myself clear? He's worse than an animal} . “I am depressed and I wish to apply for fasakh (annul the marriage),” she told Judge Mohd Yunus Mohamad Zin.

Mastura told the court that she only found out about her status as the fourth wife when she gave birth to her first child. Muhamad Mustafa had married three other women, including Noraniza. After two years of marriage, Mastura said her husband did not come home as often. “Sometimes, he won’t come back for a week. In May 2008, he would drop by for a while and not even spend the night.”

Mastura, who is currently unemployed, claimed that Muhamad Mustafa had stopped providing for the family since December 2008. The couple married on June 3, 2006, in Perak and have three children. Muhamad Mustafa, who was not in court, was represented by lawyer Zaidi Ibrahim {Why not? Got no balls is it?}.

I've tried googling the picture of this bastard but to no avail. But come to think of it, there is a blessing to this. I might end up in jail for killing a man coz I wouldnt hesitate to run him over my car / bike should I've known how he'd looked like. A "thing" ( cant regards him a man as he's not human ) like him dont deserve a place in this world.

I wont be surprised if I receive tonnes of hate e-mail from guys out there due to this entry. But do I care? Nope ! In fact, writing this put a big grin on my face. It certainly makes me feel real good !

Dirty Old Man

When a guy is hitting on you, it can sometimes be so annoying. Now, imagine a 70 year old man hitting on you. My only reaction to this would be....eeewwwwwww disgusting!! Bloody sickening! I just cant imagine anything else more revolting than this. 70 year old man? Yuckkkssss !!

A friend of mine just had this traumatized experience. What makes it worse is that the old rat is somebody she knew for a long, long time whom she respects & honours as her own father. All those respects were then thrown in the drain when he started talking with his dick instead.

Guys will always be guys regardless of how old or young they are. Never underestimate this species for you'll end up being very, very disappointed. How many times have you came across news about a 70+ year old grandfather raped their own grand-daughter? I'm sure it's nothing that shocking anymore.

They are all the same.....old or young !!!

As a norm, men would always find it hard to control their sexual desires. Often they let that sexual sense of them take control of their sane mind. It seems impossible for them to differentiate between love & lust. Being faithful is just an unattainable solace. Honest & loyalty are never in their dictionary.

So to all women out there, please be careful. Take extra care of yourself or your daughters & sisters when the other species is around. Never take things for granted especially in this millennium where men can be more inhuman than animals. I know this may sound harsh but with all the stories I'm hearing about guys everyday really scared the shit out of me.

That particular 70 year old man I talked about earlier, he cant even stand properly. He wobbles & shakes while walking and yet he could still sexually harass that poor fren of mine. I'm sure all those wobbling & shaking would immediately disappear once he got the pool to dip his rotten stick into!

To my fren, stop blaming yourself for what happened. It's not your fault girl. It's totally his fault for not being able to identify which head to use even after living for so long. Adios Grandpa ! I just wished you could look into the mirror while saying all those dirty words to my fren. Then only you'd realized how ugly a human are you !

Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant

Been wanting to write a review about this place but I just dont feel like writing about food lately. Frankly, I have another 3 - 4 more restaurants waiting to be published in my blog. Since Carol asked about it this morning, I guess dropping a few notes about the restaurant wont do me much harm, isnt it?

Went here about a month ago if I'm not mistaken. It started when my friend asked me to google up for him a nice seafood makan place. He needs to entertain 2 of his kwailos customers & he didnt know where to take them to.

So, Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant (BSGR) came into the picture since "decent" is one of the specs. required for the restaurant as outlined by that fren of mine. We have to show the best of Malaysia to these two Britons right? BSGR by far, is the best seafood restaurant in KL according to the reviews I've read - in terms of food & restaurant's environment. As a reward for finding the place for him, I was invited to join them ........ yippie !!!

What attracted me to this place is one of the picture which showed the dining glass counters with water flowing underneath. It looks really outstanding for being able to dine in such an awesome environment. I guess my expectation went a little bit too far here. Apparently only one small corner of the restaurant is having this special dining table - with maximum 3 tables only...... huhuhu. The rest are those normal round tables most Chinese restaurant are having.

We ended up at the round table too since those special glass counters are a bit too small for all 4 of us. But then it's not that bad since it's located right besides those special tables where the sounds of the water flowing could still be heard. Very soothing & calming feature indeed.

We ordered 6 dishes including the fried rice. Of all, I think I like the titbits the best......hehehe. You guys must be wondering, is this lady sick or what? But their peanuts are really nice. We even asked for an extra plate of it. It's the ground peanuts - not fried but rather steamed / boiled. The taste & texture are just right that makes your hands keeps on reaching for more.

The first dish that landed on our table was the Hot & Sour Suzhou Soup. It looks quite similar to that infamous Szechuan Hot & Sour Soup. Taste wise, I'd prefer the Szechuan soup better. This Suzhou soup though the name is Hot & Sour, neither of the taste I could actually detect. But that doesnt mean it's not nice. It's still tastes good though.

The next dish is the Fried Rice. Nothing so outstanding about the fried rice - it's the normal fried rice you've had at any Chinese restaurant. The chicken that we ordered was the Deep Fried Chicken With Curry Leaves & Chilli. It was ok but I dont really like it as it was a bit sweet to my taste.

Their 2 Combi Kailan was good though. I like it so much especially those crunchy portion at the top. They have 2 versions of Kailan fried together - the crunchy ones & the normal sauteed ones at the bottom. Something different from other fried Kailan I've tried elsewhere.

Then, it was the Buttered Prawns. Just like the Fried Rice, it goes the same with this Buttered Prawns. Nothing really fancy to shout about.

Last but not least was the Chilli Crabs. This one was really good. Their crabs are really meaty - lots n lots of meat. The sauce were as nice too. It's that thick chili sauce mixed with egg and the taste is simply awesome. One thing about crabs, I'm never good at eating it. I sometimes felt that it's just not worth eating. The effort we've to put in to break the shell doesnt worth the amount of meat obtained. Nevertheless, the sweetness of the crab meat is something you cant compromise with. That I must agree.

Generally, it was a good dinner. Plenty of good food & nice environment. As far as the price is concerned, I wouldnt say it was a cheap place to eat. Cant comment much about their prices as my dinner that night was being paid for - lucky me !

To those who are interested to try out their food, below are the details of the said restaurant :

A Child Is A Child

I bought this food container for Marsya to bring food to school everyday. The one she've been using before is still ok but this particular Dora Explorer's case is too cute to resist. On top of that it's pink in colour & I'm sure Marsya's gonna love it.

Apparently, I was so wrong. So, so very wrong indeed. You know what Marsya told me about that container? "Mummy, I'm in standard 5 already this year. I'm not 7 or 8 years old anymore. I'm a big girl now. You know this morning at the canteen, everybody was looking at me when I took it out from my bag. It's too childish la mummy......"

What can I say? What she said is technically true. She's no longer my lil princess whom she used to be. She've grown up. But then, grown doesnt mean a thing to a mother like me. A child is a child. They get bigger, older but grown? Never. Through my eyes, my Marsya would still be that cute lil' girl of mine & forever she'll remain that way. And I'm every sure, every mothers on plant earth felt the same way too.

So, whenever your mum repeatedly gives you the same advise or reminding you the same old things she did for the past 30 years or so, just bear with them. Just listen & smile back to her. You might feel that you've already grown up that you dont need anybody to remind you about anything anymore, but to her, you're still that small child she used to cuddle & embrace.

This morning, while packing Marsya's food to school, I've used her old plastic container instead. Confused, she then asked why am I not using that Dora container. I dont wanna embarrass you in front of your frens, I said. It's ok mummy, I'm not embarrass. It's a gift from you & therefore I wanna use it still. That moment all I did is hugged her tight. I must have done something good in life that God blessed me with such a precious gift.

A Mother's Child

A mother's child is every breath that she takes,
walking hand in hand, they are every step that she makes.

And as their steps will grow to strides,
still a child, in mother's eyes.

Every ache and pain they shall feel,
mother will share and with love she will kneel.

She will pray to God to take care of her child,
to protect and guide them through every mile.

Her child is the very core of her soul,
from baby in arms to an adult they will grow.

For to a mother, her child will stay,
the precious infant she held that day.

Pissed.....Again !

Are 4 pairs of school uniforms a year is too much to ask? Parents out there, enlighten me please. How many pairs of school uniform you bought for your kids? Am I being greedy for asking 4 uniforms for my daughter this year?

I admit that this year I've asked double the quantity I've asked the previous years. But then, I have my own reasons of doing so. All of Marsya's existing uniforms are sort of ruined already. Not ruined in a sense of torn or damaged but it's more on the appearance of it. You know, white baju kurung.....once it's stained it wont be that easy to clean it. Marsya's uniforms are stained with all sort of things on it - water colour, food, pencil's lead....just name it, you'll have it all there. It's like an extra drawing blocks of hers it seems. This is the reason why I'm so against her idea of using baju kurung to school. Children at her age didnt know how to take care of themselves, let alone keeping their clothes clean.

During my time, primary school students ( or should I say, Methodist Gilrs School's students) are only allowed to use pinafore to school. Even for secondary school, only when you're in Form 4 you're allowed to use baju kurung as a uniform. Honestly, I find this regulation very practical especially at primary level. The beauty of using a pinafore is that only the sleeves are exposed to dirtiness - unlike baju kurung where the whole tops are so "vulnerable".

I strongly feels that all primary schools should apply the same rulings. It brought more good than harm to the pupils & not forgetting the parents too, though indirectly. What is so sinful for a school children to be in skirts? They're just small kids, for crying out loud! The only reason why Marsya ends up in baju kurung is because all of her other Muslim friends are using it. She's too embarrassed to be the only Malay girl in her class with a pinafore instead. I have my own say about these things but I'd better reserved my comments ( for I might say something ugly that would end up me being labeled as a secular ).

Wow ! Look at how much I've deviated. I've end up babbling about school uniforms when my initial intention is to express my anger. But then, the main point here is still about school uniforms, right? So, I didnt deviate that far off I supposed. So, what pissed me off actually? It's nothing new anyway. Marsya's dad make it such a big deal when I asked him to buy 4 pairs of school uniforms for her. C'mon, I'm not asking him to buy 4 new tops for me. It's for his own daughter - his only flesh & blood, for God's sake !

Besides making a big fuss out of it, he & his wife can actually tell Marsya that her mummy is just plain lazy. She's too lazy to wash her daughter's school uniform in the mid week that she needs that much of them. I'm just so, so speechless. That proves it ! A fool will forever remain a fool! That's the downside of being stupid. If you're ugly, there are 1001 ways to make you beautiful. But if you're stupid, nothing much can be done to replace that air-head of yours. Adios !
