Marsya's Birtday Party

Finally, it's d-day ! Marsya's big day is finally here - her birthday party of course. Penat giler akak berkejar ke sana ke sini. No doubt I'm not cooking the food but getting everything in place can be quite challenging actually.

The food......yummy !!!!

Pagi2 dah keluar - started with the Pizza. Bought 2 large & 2 extra large pizza @ Dominoes. At first I thought I would just buy 4 large pizzas but then takut pulak tak cukup. Bak kata org2 tua kannnnn - biar terlebih jangan terkurang.

Happy Birthday Princess !!!!

Done with the pizzas, rushed to KFC pulak. Bought 2 buckets - 1 original & 1 spicy. Then, the birthday cake. Luckily all these purchasers are in close vicinity - otherwise mau terkangkang2 akak mengejor semuanya. So, the cake is @ Secret Recipe, Pandan Indah - Chocolate Indulgence, RM 87 bucks gone from my pocket ! Last but not least, are the cup cakes. Fortunately for this, they are sent to my house.....lega skitttt.

Cut the cake, girl !!

By the time I reached home, it was already close to 2.30 pm. Oh my God !!!!! The party should start @ 3 pm. Mamposs!!! So many more things to do, too little time - how larrrr ????? Chocolate fondue tak double-boiled lagi, fruits for choc. dip tak siap lagi, drinks tak buat lagi.....pinggan mangkuk tak kluar lagi.....panic alert...panic alerttttt !!!

The musical chair game...faster, grab the chair !!!!

Anyway, di sebalik kekelam kabutan ini, the party managed to take off rite on dot, perfectly - with the help from the birthday girl herself, of course. Phewww.....I'm such a super woman !!!

Poisonous Box - my girl gotta sing !!!!

Party Preps.

For the past 2 days I've been very busy doing shopping & preparations for Marsya's birthday party which is gonna be this weekend. I think I am more excited than Marsya herself. Like today, after came back from the shopping trips, I've spent the whole evening preparing the stuffs for the Goodie Bags. The Goodie Bag will consist of mainly food la like Twisties, sweets, jelly & chocolates.

For the chocolates, I've packed them in this cute lil packing, tied with a pink ribbon. Inside are the red & gold heart-shaped chocolates with paper confettis which I did myself (very tedious ) ! Spent at least 2 hours just to do 20 pcs of these. Letih akakkkkk !!!

Since this is gonna be the gurlz party, I've also include these crystal bangles in the Goodie Bag .......aren't they cute ?

Looking at myself with all these preps., I just cant imagine how would it be when Marsya's getting married nanti......mahu 3 bulan akak kena amik cuti, mengalahkan pengantin !

Happy Birthday Bro !

We celebrated Ji's (my brother) 35th birthday tonite. His birthday was actually yesterday but since he's on the evening shift, so we have to postpone it to today. It's nothing much la - bought him a cake which is my favourite Pralinosa ( hmmm....who's birthday is it anyway?? ). On top of the cake, I bought some satay ( as what he wanted ) which doesnt taste that really good.

So, that's it ! A small party for my bro ! Boy, he's 35 already ! You know, a younger brother would always be "young" to your eyes no matter how old he can be. Everytime I look at him, I only see a 15 year old boy rather than 35. I treated him like small kids sometimes. I just cant change that perception, not to him......not to the other lil brother & sister of mine. I guess, they would stay like that forever - the same way Marsya being the lil princess to me !

Saisaki's Promotion

Saisaki Buffet Restaurant is currently having a promotion - big fat discount not to be missed - 50% for lunch, 30% for dinner. Anyway, this promo only applies on weekdays. So, for those who love Japanese food like me, better hurry up as this offer only valid till the 5th June.

My Henna Experience

Marsya did this to me. She make me do it......she was begging & begging me to do it. She even offered to pay for it - that's how much she wanted me to put this henna on my hands. We went to Jln Masjid India earlier where we bumped into this henna services. That was when Marsya started begging me to go for it.

Frankly I've never ever did it before - not that I'm against it but I just don't feel the need of doing so. Anyway, just to please my Princess, I've decided to give it a try. The process doesnt took that long - maximum of 5 minutes only. Anyway, that might heavily depending on the design you've chosen. As for me, I have my own beauty consultant to choose the best design for me.

The charges are between RM 5 - RM 7 per hand. The more complicated the design is, the pricey it would be. Marsya chose the RM 5 design for me - a simple floral design. It would have been nicer if it's been done by the professionals rather than the road-side kindof service. The lines are big & fat when they should be very fine & thin so as to show as much details as possible. On top of that, the colour is not so red & outstanding enough.

The verdict : dont really like it. Looked messy on my hands. Maybe the next time I should try the professional service & compare.

Ampang Point On Fire

Today, while having lunch at Sushi Octopus, Ampang Point with Marsya, we were very shocked when suddenly smokes, lots of them appeared from one corner of the building. Akak pulak masa tu tengah sedap layan seafood tomyam - potong stim betul la. Tetiba, I heard somebody shouting - the building is on fire!!!!!

Patrons rushing out from the building but they certainly dont look like they're "rushing" isn't it ?

.

A few seconds after that, people started rushing towards the escalator. By the way, the Octopus Sushi Restaurant is @ the 2nd floor, just by the escalator. So, I could see very clearly the panic that arises around the area. As for me & Marsya, we still continue eating our food, calmly while enjoying the scenario around us. It was quite a scene to be at - very exciting indeed.

By the time we're done with our lunch, most of the area are already filled with thin smoke - still not that bad actually. We could still easily breath, without any complications. We were then instructed by the Pak Guard to use the staircase rather than the escalator.

Here are some of the photos I managed to snap at the scene. Terasa macam wartawan Metro la pulak !!!!

Boring Week

Didnt post any entry the whole week last week. Reason being, too much work @ the office. Chandra has been breathing on my neck all week long. Too many "dead" lines to meet, yet too little time. So, in conclusion nothing interesting had really took place last week - except for work...work and work.
.
.

Anyway, last weekend I bought a new pair of coloured lens - this time it's Grey. Started wearing them last week. I kindof like it actually - much, much better than the Hazel that I tried before. Among the comments I got is that I looked very "transparent" with this new pair of eyes. As it is I'm already fair (transparent), the eyes add more to it as they are as transparent as well. That's how Chu put it when I asked him to comment. Abang on the other hand, thinks that my eyes look seductive.....well, that's more like it, isn't it?
.
Whatever it is, I just loved my new eyes - thanks to Carol for the suggestion. The colour suits me well - from what I see la....unless I'm "perasan"-ing. Anyway, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Happy Mother’s Day

happy-mothers-day

.

It’s Mother’s Day today & I would like to wish all mothers out there especially my mum, Happy Mother’s Day !! On this special day, I would like to share a story which I’ve read from the internet recently that really touches my heart.

.

A man drove to a florist shop to order a bouquet for his mother who lives 200 km away. he planned to deliver it by courier service for he was too busy to celebrate her birthday with her.

.

As he got out of the car, he saw a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing. “Why are you crying my dear?” he asked. “I need to buy a red rose for my mother…but it cost two dollars. I only have seventy cents!” “Come to shop with me, I would like to buy my mother some flowers, too”

.

He bought the little girl her red rose and ordered his own flower for her mother’s birthday. “Please send this flower to my mum by tomorrow morning, it’s her birthday!” “Come on my dear. I’ll give you a ride home,” said the man.

.

”Please drop me here, Sir. My mom had just moved over here a few days ago !” said the little girl. The little girl laid the red rose gently on the grave of her beloved mother. The man quickly cancelled the mail delivery of his mother’s bouquet. Instead, he drove 200 km to his mother’s house.

.

Live not a life that will cause us to regret……when it comes to a time that we need to leave everyone and everything behind. Appreciate your loved ones before it’s too late.

.

Mum

Hope

This morning, I find out that two of my new perfumes are missing from my collections. I dont really care anymore which culprit stole them but the thing is I was really emotionally affected because of this. I’ve suffered a greater lost before but this one really pulled me down. I cried so much & yet there are still tears at the edge of my eyes right now while I’m writing this entry.

It’s not the perfumes. It’s because of the things that have been happening to me these few months. I’m just too exhausted already. Don’t think I could hold up to it anymore. God, please gimme a break, will you? I desperately need it as I’m about to explode already. One thing after another – continuously hitting me as bad as one can imagine.

I’ve been very, very strong all these whiles hiding all the pain & miseries behind my weak smile. Could still laughs when the person I’ve trusted stabbed me on my back. Could still smile when God tested me with the greatest trials – financially & emotionally. Been pushing all these behind me as hard as I could, so that I could keep on moving. But then, I think this is the break-out of everything. This small tiny adversity just exploded everything that I’ve been holding up. I broke into small pieces – so small that trying to put things back together is almost impossible.

Nevertheless, being a humble God’s creation, what choice do I have but to try & put things back no matter how impossible it can be. It might take years to do it but eventually it’ll be done for good, hopefully. Anyway, its hope that keeps life moving. Miseries have no other medicine but hope. Without hope we have nothing !

Kuantan Escapade - Sg. Lembing

.
.
This is the final destination of my 3 days trip to Kuantan - Sungai Lembing, once the richest town in Pahang due to it's tin mining industry. Sungai Lembing is situated about 42 km northwest of Kuantan.
.
.
In front of the abandoned underground tunnel of the tin mines
.
.
Until the 1970s, Sungai Lembing was a major producer of underground tin. Sungai Lembing town developed in the 1880's when the British set up the tin mining industry, although the history of mining in this area extends much further back. From 1891, the Pahang Consolidated Company Limited, (PCCL), which was under British control, had a 77-year lease to mine the area. PCCL managed the mine from 1906 until its liquidation in 1986 when world tin prices collapsed. For those who didnt know, the tin mine in Sungai Lembing is the deepest and longest underground mine in the world !
..
..
The Museum
.
.
A museum was established here to show the present and future generations of the glorious days of Sunagi Lembing's past. Here in the museum, there are various collections of mining equipments used in underground mining which includes the drilling machine, railway track, safety helmet and furnitures / items belonging to the tin mine manager’s office. The good thing about this museum is that the entrance is free !
.
.
The 50 year old Mini Mox - the vehicle used at the mine office

.
.
The one thing I really like about the museum is the building itself as it still retains its British architecture features. This museum is used to be the residency of the mine's head man. The esidency itself still retains its British architecture feature

Apart from the museum, other attractions to this place is the Panorama Hill (which I dont get a chance to visit), Charas Cave (also didnt go), hanging bridges (3 nos. altogether) and the Pasir Kubur recreational area (nice place for a picnic, by the way).
.
.
.
.
It's hard to imagine how colourful it used to be during those glorious days. What's left now is just a dead & deserted town inhabitate only by old folks. If it's not because of the tourists who regularly visited the place, I'm sure it'll be a ghost town by now.
.
.
The dead town of Sungai Lembing

.
.
Anyway, I'm quite sure I'll be back to this town - eventually. I still haven't been to the top of Panorama Hill to watch the sunrise & the sea of clouds. Asta la vista !

Kuantan Escapade – The River Cruise

.

sgkuantan

On this 2nd day, as planned we went for the River Cruise down the Kuantan River. We took the first cruise which took off @ 9 am from the Shahbandar Jetty. Rightly, the cruise fee is RM15 for an adult and RM8 for a child. However, for each cruise there must be a minimum of 5 adults on board. Since there are only 4 of us (3 adults + 1 child) at that time, we have to pay the minimum charge of RM75 for the cruise to take off.

.
Shahbandar Jetty
.

The cruise took approximately 1.5 hrs altogether which includes a visit to the Mangrove Reserve Forest. The tour operator did a good job in telling us the history of the Kuantan River during the entire cruise. The Kuantan Rives is 98 km long that runs from Sungai Lembing through Kuantan City before flowing out to South China Sea. The international Kuantan Port used to be along this river until it is relocated to Tg. Gelang. Interesting facts, huh ?

.
.
.

The Mangrove Reserve Forest is quite an interesting place to visit. This mangrove forest is over 500 years of age & I just came to know that mangroves actually protects its area from the tsunami attacks. Cool huh ? There's a 40m viewing tower here to observe the panaromic view of the mangrove forest but unfortunately some parts of the tower are no longer safe to be climbed. From my observation, the government did quite a good job in building up this place as a tourist spot however due to it's remoteness, a lot of vandalism took place. What a waste !

.
.

The unsafe viewing tower
.
.

For those who had never beeen to this cruise before, I would strongly suggest to give it a shot. As the cruise heading towards the South China Sea, the view is so beautiful, it reminds me so much of Venice. The only setback to this cruise is of course the fee. It is no doubt, a little bit on the higher side. If the government wanna see more locals going for this cruise, the price would definately have to be reduced.

Kuantan Escapade - Day 1

The original plan for today is to take the Kuantan River Cruise. However, on Friday there are only two trip available i.e. 9.00 am & 3.00 pm and unfortunately both are already fully booked. So, I dont have a choice but to re-schedule the plan for tomorrow. Biasalah kan...long weekend camni memang ramai tourist datang ke Kuantan.

Kuantan is very hot & humid - as it normally is. That's why I always end up staying in the house rather than doing the things that I've planned before. Anyway, this time I would try my very best to accomplish whatever plan I had in mind.

Didnt do much on the 1st day - still trying to adapt myself to the hot climate here in Kuantan. In the middle of the afternoon, went to the Kuantan Market foodstall - what else if it's not for the delicious Soya Bean drinks & Taufu Fah. They still manage to maintain the quality of their product. The soya beans are still very rich & thick and the taufu fah is as smooth as everrrr.
.

The yummy soya bean & taufu fah
.

.If you intent to buy the soya bean drinks or taufu fah, be sure to get there early. They started their business at 12.00 pm. By 2.00 pm, if you're lucky, you would still get it. Otherwise you'll only be greeted with an empty containers.

Later in the evening, we headed to Beserah for the tranquility of Pelindung Beach. This is indeed a challenging journey for us as none of us actually knew the exact location of the beach. As expected, we were lost & end up being in the woods instead. Well at least, the quest for tranquility somehow or rather, has been achieved.....hahahaha.
.
.
.
.
.
It doesnt took us that long to finally discovered the well kept secret beach of Pelindung. This beach is very secluded and is a perfect hideaway for a quiet & relaxing moments. Even though it shares the same South China Sea as Teluk Chempedak, Beserah Beach but the crowde is very much lesser.

Ok then, better get some sleep now. I've to be at the jetty by 9 am tomorrow morning for the river cruise. Hope it'll worth a ride !
