Girl's Nite Out @ IB

It's the girl's nite out today with the JP members (KL version) to catch up the latest gossips - though we've virtually met up in FB every other day. Thanks to this thing called internet which enables people to get in touch with each other in a very fun way. Has is in town this whole week & we (Ayu & myself) are taking this opportunity to meet up lah. It's just too bad Azah, Julie & Marzita are unable to make it, otherwise things would have been merrier.

As usual, Ayu came with his troop which consist of her hubby & 5 kids. The meeting point for our get together is at Istana Budaya & we've inhabited the restaurant next to it since that is the only decent place to sit & talk.

There are so many things to cover yet too little time. We had so much fun talking & teasing each others.....apart from updating our own stories. Girls are girls.....we just cant stop talking. There are so many stories to talk about - we've never ran out of ideas when it comes to gossiping & telling stories. We have to end up the wonderful moments since Ayu's son has repeatedly begging her to take him home. Poor boy .....he must have been bored to death since there's nothing much a kid can do there in IB.

Anyway, I would like to take the opportunity to thank my dear frens, Ayu & Has for spending their precious time with me that nite. It has been a great rendezvous to remembered.

New Tops @ Zara

Coming out from Carl's Junior, we stopped by at Zara - as per Carol's request. I've been to Zara a few times before but none of their clothing managed to attracts me. This time however, as i approached the store my eyes are locked to this one blue checked casual tops, It's like love at a first sight. I just cant possibly took off my eyes away from it. I love everything about the blouse - the design, the colour & the most of all - the material. So, there goes RM140 from my pocket.

Normally I would feel very bad & feeling very guilty after spending so much money just for a piece of blouse. Surprisingly, this time i just feel good about it. I'm no longer having that guilt trip in me. All I'm feeling is purely satisfaction. Well, the country are in needs or somebody like me anyway. Somebody who would invigorate the country's economic. In a way, I've just doing a favor to the country & the rakyat, generally. I can call myself a warrior....the economic warrior, that is !

Lunch @ Carl's Junior, Pavillion

We, I mean me & Carol, are supposed to have lunch here last week. We kindof decided about it while having lunch @ Nandos since Carls Junior is located juz beside Nandos. Anyway, since both of us are quite busy with our own things last week, we have to put it on hold.

So, today here we are at Carls Junior. I'm not sure whether they have other outlet elsewhere. I still remembered their presence before.......few years back. Then after some time, gulung tikar. I guess their trying their luck again and I hope they'll make thru this time. Not that I'm a big supporter of fast foods but then at least their presence gives us a variety to the not-so many makan places around.

From my quick observation of the place, the crowd is not that encouraging :-( . The place however, is quite well decorated and offers a very cozy & pleasant environment.....maybe due to the small crowd. So, obviously placing an order is done without any hassles.

One thing....no... 2 things I like about this place - 1st is their salad buffet. They have onions, jalapeno, salsa dip & pickled cucumber. Of all, the salsa dip is my favourite.....they are so good. The best thing is you can eat as many as you could...ye lah, nama pun buffet kan?

Secondly is their drinks - it's free flow. They have soft drinks, iced tea & iced lemon tea. The drinks are a bit confusing in terms of how they've priced them. There are 3 options : small, medium & large. I just couldnt see a point why they need to have these 3 options since it's a free flow. Who would go for the large ones when you can always have a free refill? Got what I mean? Might as well pay for the small ones & refill as often as we could, isnt it?

As for their burgers, they have varieties of selections & mind you, their burgers are very meaty - something like Burger King kindof burger. I've ordered their promotional sandwich which is called Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich. Apparently it was a very good choice. Everytime I had burgers / sandwiches, I always have problems finishing the bread. This time with this Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich, that is no longer a problem coz this sandwich doesnt even have a bread ! No joke ! It's just a piece of chicken fillet wrapped with lettuce & a piece of cheese. That's all ! It fills my stomach so perfectly, without making it feeling so tight & bloated. Very highly recommended. However, even without a bread, it is still pricey - RM15.95+ .

Anyway, that's the price range for all their burgers here. I would say it's between RM15 - RM20 per piece. Macam mahal la jugak tapi sekali sekala apa salahnya kan?

Men Are Cowards

Do I need to say more? Men are indeed such a coward. I'm sure a lot of you agree with this statement. It might sounds harsh & hurtful but hey guys, it's the truth....reality bites. I'm saying this based on my real life experience......correction - experiences, actually. Encountered a few guys like this in my life, unfortunately (how I'd wish I don't have to).

One of them, too coward to actually revealed to his parents that he's not earning money for the family. All the while, the wife has been supporting the family but did he ever told this fact to his own parents? Nooooo......how cud he? He's a coward remember? Or should I say, an egomaniac? The parents can actually complaint to him that his wife never contributed money to them unlike their own son - when it's actually the wife's money he's been using all along ! Such a prick, isn't it?

The next one, is a somebody whose friend keep on bitching about his wife......telling him that his wife is a queen control just because he refused to go out with him - when that's not actually the reason. He could have stand for his wife by telling him the truth but no, he chosed to keep his fuckin mouth shut ! He just let his friend bitching about his wife without a single word coming out from him. The same guy has also bad mouthed his own wife to his relative juz to get himself out from trouble. He doesnt like his name to be tarnished but is willing to splat his wife's face with shit ! Again, another act of cowardliness. Asshole !

Then again God brought another cow into my life. This one is even worse......a guy who would cheat & steal a money from a woman & spent them on her as if it's his own godamn money! He could even nag her for being careless when she told him that she lost her ATM card......when the actual fact is he's the one who stole it! Fuckin idiot ! How coward can that be, you tell me !

This one happened just recently. I've known this guy for a about a year whom consistently told me how much he adores & loves me ( yeah...yeah...yeah....make me wanna puke remembering this). Then suddenly, he just disappeared without a word. Poofffff......for a moment I thought he's was a genie ! Doesnt wanna return my call......doesnt wanna reply my sms. Watta.... !! He dont have the guts...no, not guts...he dont have the balls to say it to my face. He's acting cowardly by making himself disappear & make me assume that it's all over between us. Such a bastard !!

So dear friends, particularly those who are still single, just make sure that your men have balls.....I mean the real ones...not those faked balls those guys (described above) are having ! Once a coward forever a coward !!!!

p/s ........Man, that feels damn good !!!

Merisik.....

I'm on an important mission today......going to Kampar with my family to ask from a girl's father for her hands in marriage. In B.Melayu, we called it merisik. Merisik is an event (before an engagement takes place) where both families get to know each other. During the older days, merisik is a visit to the girl's family to find out whether the girl is still available. Nowadays, merisik is a bit advanced since most of the time, the other party is already aware that the girl is not yet engaged or "booked".

The Ring

Now, a guy would only ask their parents to go & merisik the girl once both the guy & the girl agreed to get married. Anyway, this merisik is just one of the Malay cultures as far as marriage / wedding is concerned. It's just a courteous way of asking from the girls parents for her hands in marriage.....nothing more than that.

The cup cakes.....aren't them lovely ??

The cloth for the Baju Kurung

This merisik that I'm into is for my brother, Ji. So, this morning we headed to Kampar, Perak with one mission - to "book" this girl, Azwa for him. As normally done, a ring is required , as a minimum for this merisik event. We have decided to present her some other gifts besides the ring alone, i.e some nice cup cakes & a cloth (for baju kurung).

Azwa, you are booked !

Everything went very well....alhamdulillah. It has been agreed that there shall be no engagement....we'll just skip to the wedding itself which is gonna be somewhere in November this year, Insyallah.

Mission accomplished !!

Me & My Temper

Why is it so hard for me to control my temper at times? How can I avoid from being so jumpy? Instead of calming myself down I would just blew out without mercy. Blurted out all hose harsh words nobody can stand, only to make me regret thereafter.

Why cant I be a lil bit rational sometimes ? Why cant I put my emotions way behind my thoughts? Why cant I just think at least for a second before I did something stupid or said something bad? If only I did all these I’m pretty much sure I wont be hurting the feelings of those good people around me.

Today, again (God knows how many times) I’ve lost control of my temper. And again, I reacted foolishly – storming out my anger unnecessarily, when what happened is actually the same mistake I did before – only that I didn’t realize it until I’m in the other’s party’s shoe.

Well, like what Yasmin told me – what goes around would definitely comes around. I guess it’s payback time – karma is hitting back on me now. One thing with me, I can be very sarcastic when my tentacles are being touched. If words could kill, mine would be the deadliest weapon ever ! I’m neither proud nor pleased with this coz in the end; I’m the one who’ll look silly & stupid……(sigh).

From today onwards, I’ll do my utmost to control that temper of mine. Not to be jumpy unnecessarily, not to over-react over things and not to lost control of myself even when my tentacles are being touched! A person at my age should be full of wisdom rather than being childish. It’s good to put some senses to my thoughts before doing something foolish.

To all whom I’ve hurt their feelings before (Yasmin especially), I am begging your forgiveness from the bottom of my heart. I didn’t actually mean what I’ve said – it’s just that emotions have take control over my senses. Again, I am really, really sorry…….

Wall Tailor

Last weekend I visited the Moden Home & Lifestyle Fair 2009 at Mid Valley. There I bought this thing called "Wall Tailor" which is a sticker you could use to decorate your wall. It's a modern way to decorate your wall rather than using a wall paper which is much much more expensive.

I have been trying to figure out how to decorate the wall at the end of the hallway in my house. One of the option is to put a wallpaper which would cost me about RM150 minimum. When I came across this Wall Tailor, I am so relieved & happy that I finally found the solution for my problem. The best thing is that it doesn't cost me a bomb.....I only spent RM55 for the sticker.

There are a lot of design available which are all very creative & modern. Colours can also be customized to your desire but it has to be pre-ordered & you only get it in 2 weeks time. After spending about 30 minutes at their booth, I've selected the floral design which came in 3 different colours. So, this is the outcome :

I would say it is just so-so la......either I'm not that creative in arranging those flowers or like what my brother said - wrong choice of colours. Anyway, it's something different & modern or should I say, contemporary.....chewahhhh.

For those who are interested can visit their website www.wall-tailor.com . Unfortunately, they dont have any shops at the moment. You can only view their product through the website or at their booth during events (which they published in the website). I've gone to their website but there's nothing much there. Did tried to sign-up but to no avail - there's an error message popped out after I click the Sign-Up link.

Anyway, to my opinion it's a good alternative way to decorate your house - especially those whose houses are with the modern / contemporary concept. It's something different yet very classy. Should give it a shot !

Baju Raya Marsya

Went to Mid Valley today with no particular reason in mind. Thought of just hanging around there, eat & have fun with my precious, Marsya. Then suddenly this thought came to my mind.....why not I shop for Marsya's baju raya? Fasting month is just a few weeks away & shopping during fasting month is always a no-no thing for me & especially for Marsya.

Apparently, I'm not the only one doing that. We went to Jusco & saw a lot of other parents buying clothes for their children too. Guess I've made a right decision this time & I'm glad I did that. Frankly, I didnt set any budget for Marsya's baju raya this year but since I didnt spend a single cent for her baju raya last year, I guess I'll spend a bit for her this time around.

So, this is what we've end up with which cost me about RM200++ ....just for 3 pairs of children clothing.....boleh tahan ye ! That gown with the cardigan - Marsya has been eying that for so long already....dah lama dia dok mengidam gaun yang camtu. I'm so happy that I finally make her that particular wish came true.

Speaking of that giwn, I have a sad & disappointing story to share. I opened up & looked at those clothes I bought one day later, only to find out that the salesgirl didnt actually removed the tag on that gown. I'm suprised the sensor didnt make a sound when we went through it.

The problem here is that....(1) Mid Valley is not that near to my place....very so inconvenient for me to travel all the way there (2) I could just go to the nearest Jusco & get it removed but unfortunately, I've thrown away the receipt. I cant just go there & ask them to remove it, cant I. They might say that I've stolen the gown instead......duhhhhhh.

So, I'm only left with one option that is to try & remove it myself. Damn it's freakingly hard. Darn hard.....ending up, I've damaged the gown.....or in other words, I've torn it. Not the whole gown but part of it la....just enuff to remove the tag. It's not that noticeable but knowing it's damaged really kills me. As it is, the gown is the most expensive ones......RM100 tuh ! Adoiiiii...geramnyerrrrr !

Moral of the story : Identify those clothes with tags & make sure the cashier removes them. otherwise you'll have severe heart-ache like me !!!

That Thing Called Love…..

I’ve came across these while browsing the internet the other day & would like to share with all of you readers since they seems sweet & there’re some truth in it. Love is a very complex thing, without a doubt. I hope this entry could somehow help most of you (me included) in defining LOVE….

To my friends who are……..MARRIED

Love is not about “it’s your fault”, but “I’m sorry”

Not “where are you’ but “I’m right here”

Not “how could you” but “I understand”

Not “I wish you were”, but “I’m thankful you are”

To my friends who are………ENGAGED

The true measure of compatibility is not the years spent together but how good you are for each other.

To my friends who are……..NOT SO SINGLE

Love isn’t about becoming somebody else’s “perfect person.” It’s about finding someone who helps you become the best person you can be.

To my friends who are….…HEARTBROKEN

Heartbreaks last as long as you want and cut deep as you allow them to go. The challenge is not how to survive heartbreaks but to learn from them.

How to be in love: Fall but don’t stumble, be consistent but not too persistent, share and never be unfair, understand and try not to demand, and get hurt but never keep the pain.

To my friends who are……..SEARCHING

True love cannot be found where it does not truly exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does. Love is magic. The more we hide it, the more it shows; the more you suppress it, the more it grows.

To my friends who are……..PLAYBOY / GIRL TYPE

Never say I love if you don’t care. Never talk about feelings if they aren’t there. Never touch a life if you mean to break a heart. Never look in the eye when what you do is lie. The cruelest thing a guy can do to a girl is to let her fall in love when he doesn’t intend to catch her fall.

To my friends who are……..POSSESSIVE

It breaks your heart to see the one you love happy with someone else but it’s more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.

To my friends who are……..AFRAID TO CONFESS

Love hurts when you break up with someone. It hurts even more when someone breaks up with you. But love hurts the most when the person you love has no idea how you feel.

To my friends who are…….STILL HOLDING ON

A sad thing about life is that when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never bound to be and we just have to let go.

To my friends who are…….SINGLE

Love is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But if you just let it fly, it would come to you when you least expect it. Love can make you happy but often times it hurts, but love’s only special when you give it to someone who is worth it. So take your time and choose the best!

Am Missing My Vampire

Dunno why but that's what I'm feeling now....missing him....missing my vampire, Edward Cullen. What's happening to me is really absurd, I know...I'm in love with a character in a novel but I just dont care. It's better to be in love with something not real coz at least you know you wont get hurt eventually, right?

The way I'm feeling for him rite now as if he's been in my life before., as if we've been in love before....the feeling is so strong....i just can't get him outta my mind. Reading each words from the below video makes me cry.....it is just so beautiful. Something you cant possibly get in the real world.......for sure !

Oh Edward...I love you so much....I'll stay single forever till I found myself a vampire like you !

Lunch @ Nando's, Pavillion

Me & Carol have been planning this since yesterday. It's Carol who's has been craving for that extra hot peri-peri Nando's chicken since last week. So, we've agreed to treat her crave today at the Pavillion outlet since it's the nearest to our office.

One thing about this outlet in Pavillion, I really like the way they've decorated the restaurant - the red paint on the wall, the ornaments, accessories & everything. It gives the place a very authentic look.....very nice inJustify Fulldeed.

As for the chicken - it's like that la....the hot, succulent & juicy chicken. Some people prefers Kenny Rogers but I found it a lil bit bland in taste. I've always opt for Nando's when it comes to chicken......suits my taste better. On top of that, the drinks are free-flow.....superb !!

Yahoo Geocities

Early this week I found out that Yahoo Geocities will be closed by October 26, 2009. Yahoo Geocities is a free web hosting service where you can upload your files there via FTP or a web interface. A few of my images & icons used in this blog of mine are uploaded in Yahoo Geocities.

The moment I heard this news, I started worrying already....where should I move all those files now. My hunting for a new free file hosting started on that very same day - juggling between valve sizing & file hosting search.....totally hard work !

Most of the websites which provides this free service does not accept .ico files. Sites like MediaFire, Savefile.com, ImageShack etc only accept jpeg, gif and png files but not .ico files. This has indeed giving me a huge problem coz some of my files are in .ico format. Tention...tention.....

After 3 days of searching & finding, I finally found this website by the name of FileDen ( www.fileden.com ) that accept .ico files. What a relief ! Now I can work in peace knowing that all my files found their new homes already. I just hope this FileDen wont end-up being like that $%#@&^&% Geocities......menyusahkan orang je !!
